Our Story

Tiffany and Matt first met when they were 3,000 miles away from each other. Tiffany was living her best life in New York City and Matt was fresh off the boat after his time in the Navy. The date was August 10, 2020; the location was Zoom. As fate would have it, Tiffany and Matt were randomly assigned to a small study group to navigate their “1L year” of law school at UC Hastings.

Despite the distance, Tiffany and Matt became fast friends. They studied together and come finals, shared several long conversations to debrief their exams. Matt describes this time between them as magnetic. While Tiffany only seems to remember how long Matt’s neck looked on Zoom.

The next semester, Tiffany left New York and moved out to San Francisco; a mere 3 blocks away from Matt! Now living in the same city, their study sessions moved from Zoom to the library at school. Eventually, they started running together, grabbing dinners, and even some late night drinks despite Matt’s early morning ironman training. Ultimately, Matt couldn’t resist asking out his dream girl after Tiffany told him that she “had the biggest crush” on him.

Since their meet cute, Tiffany and Matt have traveled the world, navigated long-distance, graduated law school, passed the bar, and moved across the country to New York City.
